Awareness programme on quality assurance activities and programme review
An awareness programme on quality assurance activities and progamme review was conducted for the academic staff of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science by the quality assurance cell of faculty on 11th September 2017. Prof. Prasad Sethunga, Director, Internal Quality Assurance Unit, Peradeniya University and Prof. Kalyani Perara, Former Consultant of QAAC of UGC participated as resource personnel.
At this workshop, Prof. Prasad Sethunga, made a presentation on ‘Introduction to QA and What is IQAU?’. In his presentation, Prof. Sethunga elaborated the Quality Assurance (QA) activities recommended for the Universities by the University Grant Commission and how University of Peradeniya carrying out the QA activities through Internal Quality Assurance Unit (IQAU) of the university and the Quality Assurance Cells of the Faculties. Prof. Kalyani Perara made a comprehensive presentation on ‘Programme Review and SER Preparation’.
